How does it work?
The Paper Shoot is entirely digital! One camera board, and tones of interchangeable case designs to choose from!
Before going out there and start taking pics, you'll need:
- AAA rechargeable batteries
- 32GB (or below) SD card.
- And of course, assemble the camera board with its interchangeable case (done in 1min, no tools needed 🙌)
Once this is settled, choose the pre-built filter you want to use for your next pic with the switch on the back of the Paper Shoot. You can switch at any time, as much as you want!
Then... just Point & Shoot 📸
Indeed, there’s no need to worry about powering it on or off. Just one point : press the shutter, and you're good to go! The camera automatically turns on, takes the photo, and then switches itself off—all seamless and hassle-free.
Using the USB-C cable that comes with your camera, you can recharge your camera whenever and continually empty and reuse your SD card, meaning you can take unlimited photos.
Camera specs are available under the “specs’ tab on each product page. But we also added them just below ;)
How do I take video or timelapse?
To take a video on your Paper Shoot, plug it into a portable charger, switch to the third filter, and press the shutter button.
It will take a 10-second video! To take a timelapse, repeat the same steps but switch to the fourth filter.
You can also purchase a recording function card here to eliminate the need for an external power source.
How do I access my photos?
There are a few different ways to see your photos!
- Since Paper Shoot works with SD cards, simply plug in the included USB cable to your computer and you can download your photos directly. No need to remove the SD card from your Paper Shoot 🙌
- You can also purchase an SD Card Reader to use on your computer or your phone. You can find them here
- Alternatively, you can purchase a Wifi SD card, which will allow you to see your photos without a cable, or you can purchase a phone-SD card adapter to download Paper Shoot photos directly to your phone.
How do I charge my Paper Shoot?
No need to remove the rechargeable batteries from within your camera!
Use our charging cable that comes with any Paper Shoot Camera purchase. Plug it in just like you would do with your phone on an external powerbank or an outlet. And voilà!
You'll see the green led shining when in charge. When the light goes off, it's fully charged!
When the batteries are being charged within our camera while using our charging cable the cameras have a safety measure that stops the charging cycle when fully charged.
If choosing to remove the batteries to charge them outside of the camera, always ensure you are charging them with a device that automatically stops the charge current once charging is complete.
Does Paper Shoot have a flash?
While the Paper Shoot does not currently have a built-in flash, we have a detachable ring light!
Rather than creating a new camera with the flash upgrade, we wanted to create an option allowing any customer access to a flash for their camera.

LED Indicators
The LED will flash and sometimes you'll hear an error sound. This means your camera is working!
See below to identify if the issue comes from your SD Card or your batteries.
- Left LED light: Problem with the SD Card. Make sure you are using a 32GB (or below) SD Card and that it's fully inserted and still has storage.
- Right LED light: Problem with the batteries. Make sure to use AAA alkaline rechargeable batteries and make sure they are fully charged.
- Both LED lights: Problem with the batteries. Make sure to use AAA alkaline rechargeable batteries and make sure they are fully charged.
Charge the batteries
If the right or both lights are flashing, this usually indicates a battery issue.
Please make sure the batteries are high-quality AAA rechargeable batteries and that they are fully charged.
We recommend energizer rechargeable batteries for your Paper Shoot.
